Social Security Disability Frequently Asked Questions

How much do The Advocates charge for their services?

Our motto at The Advocates is, ‘We don’t get paid unless you do.’ This means that if our attorneys are unable to obtain benefits for your claims, you won’t owe us a dime in attorney fees. At The Advocates, we treat every case as if it were our own. If you don’t get paid, then neither do we. That’s our commitment to you and your case.

Once we do win your case, you will owe us 25% of all past due benefits up to $6,000.

Do I qualify for SSD or SSI benefits?

Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits are intended for individuals who have suffered an injury or illness and are left unable to work. Your eligibility for Social Security Disability benefits is determined by a strict criteria set out by the Social Security Administration (SSA). Please review the SSA’s list of eligible impairments to see if you qualify.

The Advocates only accept clients with the following qualifications:

• You must receive and continue medical treatment during your claim
• You are unable to work
• You must be able to attend all examinations, conferences, and hearings

When should I hire a Social Security attorney to help with my disability claim?

The Advocates encourage you to reach out to our attorneys as early in the process as you are able. We prefer to handle all aspects of your claim to ensure no errors or mistakes are made which could cause a denial status.

Regardless of where you are in the process, though, our attorneys are ready to assist you. We can help handle your claim no matter if you’ve already been denied benefits or have yet to apply. The Advocates will help guide you through the entire process. You deserve an Advocate!
