D.J. Richardson has over 5 years of experience in the field of personal injury—using her skills as a trial attorney to help injured individuals. After graduating from Lewis & Clark law school in 2017, she immediately went to work as an injury attorney, working exclusively with injured Plaintiffs. Her passion for the law stems from the sincere desire to make a difference, big or small, in the lives of others. Her journey as a trial attorney has taught her that she never needs to sacrifice her compassion and understanding to be successful. Ultimately, this journey brought her to The Advocates in 2023—believing that her core values aligned with those of the firm. She is happy to be part of a team that represents clients with both zealous advocacy and kindness.

D.J. has experience litigating complex personal injury matters including, but not limited to, premises liability, medical malpractice, product liability, motor vehicle collisions, and slip and fall cases. She has represented hundreds of clients by working directly with insurance carriers to successfully negotiate resolution of their claims and filing suit to protect their rights if/when negotiations fail. She has litigated dozens of cases in both State and Federal court.

D.J. has had the unique experience of suffering from injuries that have caused her to undergo seven reconstructive operations. For that reason, she has a fundamental understanding of what a significant injury can do to a person’s life. As an attorney, it gives her a dogged determination to help her clients in any way she can.

Born and raised in Nevada, D.J. fell in love with the Pacific Northwest during Law School. Now, she calls Oregon home. In her free time, she is typically doing something outside with her spouse and daughter. D.J. is a mountain-biker but also enjoys hiking, water activities and trips out to the coast with her family.
