2025 West Seattle Fatal Accident
One of the most serious crashes reported in West Seattle during 2025 happened on the West Seattle Bridge near the Delridge Way SW off-ramp. On the night of March 30, Seattle police and emergency crews responded to a fatal motorcycle collision along the westbound lanes of the bridge. According to investigators, no other vehicles were believed to be involved in the crash. The 42-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Accidents like this are one of many problems many drivers and riders in West Seattle already know well. A very similar crash happened again just days later in 2026. In early May, another motorcyclist was killed near the 1st Avenue South off-ramp connected to the West Seattle Bridge after reportedly striking a guardrail and falling nearly 30 feet from the elevated ramp below.
