A pedestrian was hit in a crash late Monday night. The crash occurred after the pedestrian attempted to cross State Route 14 in Vancouver, Washington. The pedestrian was likely killed upon impact and was declared deceased at the scene of the crash.
Witnesses said the pedestrian was attempting to cross the eastbound lanes of State Route 14 from the westbound side before being hit by a gray Toyota Prius traveling eastbound. The driverDavid Treece, 54, of Washougal, Washington. Treece was uninjured in the crash. His vehicle, however, was totaled.
The identity of the pedestrian killed in the crash has not be released by authorities at this time.
Washington State Patrol is currently investigating the circumstances involving the crash.
