A tragic rollover crash in Enumclaw killed two people in the early morning hours of Tuesday. State Route 164 was shuttered for several hours as emergency responders assisted victims and the scene was cleared. Three other people were severely injured in the rollover crash.
Washington State Patrol troopers responded to the scene and found a Kia sedan turned on its side and a Ford truck smashed into a nearby telephone pole. Investigators believe the accident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday morning. Washington State Patrol said the 2004 Kia Spectra suddenly veered into oncoming traffic and hit a 2013 Ford F150 head on at the intersection of SR 164 and 196th Avenue SE. The unnamed passengers in the backseat of the Kia were thrown from the vehicle as it turned over. Investigators confirmed that the deceased victims were not wearing seat belts at the time of the rollover crash.

The Kia was transporting Crystal Mulling, Charles Saylor, and two other people at the time of the rollover crash. William Gatlin was the sole passenger in the Ford pickup truck.
