A devastating car crash left two dead in the early hours of July 4th. First responders arrived on the scene in Federal Way to find the wrecked vehicle ripped completely in half. The two occupants of the vehicle, a Honda Civic, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The crash took place just after 2 a.m. on the morning of July 4th at the corner of 10th Place SW and SW 320th Street. The crash shredded the Honda Civic in two, leaving one half near the tree and the other half in the front lawn of a nearby house.
According to Kurt Schwan, a commander with the Federal Way Police, the car likely crashed into the tree while traveling at a high rate of speed. The names of the victims have yet to be released, but Schwan confirmed they were both in their late 20’s. He also confirmed that alcohol appears to be responsible for the crash.
