The e-scooter accident happened at 8:10 p.m. at the intersection of 15th and Main Street
A 16-year-old boy was recently killed in an e-scooter accident in Boise, Idaho. The young man was riding a scooter in downtown Boise Sunday evening when he collided with a pickup truck and suffered fatal injuries.
The boy has been identified as Kyle Davis, of Boise, Idaho, according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office.
The e-scooter accident occurred around 8:10 p.m. at the intersection of 15th and Main Street in downtown Boise.
According to crash investigators, the pickup truck was driving northbound on 15th Street while Davis and another passenger were heading east on the scooter.
The other passenger, also 16 years old, was taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries. It is believed that they did not suffer life-threatening injuries from the e-scooter accident.
The coroner’s office said that Davis’s cause of death was due to a severe head injury.
The driver remained at the scene of the accident and has provided full cooperation throughout the investigation of this tragic e-scooter accident.
The names of the driver and the other passenger on the e-scooter have not yet been released.
Boise police are still determining who was at-fault for the crash.
Boise’s deputy police chief would like to remind all persons using an e-scooter that riding with two passengers is not only extremely dangerous, but it is also prohibited.
